Hi, I’m David, and welcome to ‘Genuinely Inconsistent.’
I’m from the UK, and I’ve always loved exploring—whether it’s new places, great food, or simply the quiet moments that bring life into focus.
Life doesn’t always go to plan, but I suppose that’s what keeps it interesting. I share my life with Sebastian, my German partner who balances my spontaneity with his love of structure (and a knack for pointing out grammar mistakes). My family, especially my parents, means the world to me. Their constant love and support have been a steady anchor, even when life has felt a bit bloody chaotic.
I started ‘Genuinely Inconsistent’ as a way to process my thoughts and make sense of life’s twists and turns. It’s also a space to try and focus on the little joys—the moments that make life feel a bit lighter. It’s not perfect (and neither am I), but if you enjoy honest reflections, creative sparks, and a bit of chaos now and then, you’re in the right place.
From the North
I grew up in the north of England, where, by and large, most people are friendly and welcoming. You get the odd miserable bugger, but where doesn’t? I’ve recently moved to Shrewsbury, and while there are fewer ‘good mornings’ here, it’s still an adventure I’m letting unfold.
Work
I work as a freelance graphic designer, which gives me the freedom to be creative on my own terms (and the occasional excuse to procrastinate). I love taking ideas and turning them into something that not only looks great but also helps others achieve their goals.
Exploring & Eating.
When I’m not working, I’m usually exploring (or eating)—whether that means wandering through a new town, diving into some photography, or finding something delicious to eat. Food, travel, and photography are my favourite ways to experience the world and keep things interesting. Did I mention I love food…
Living with Neurodivergence
Being neurodivergent shapes how I see and experience the world. Anxiety and depression have been part of the mix, but so have creativity and curiosity. Writing this blog is one way I’m trying to figure myself out—what works for me, what doesn’t, and how to navigate this unpredictable life.
Why I Started This Blog
I started ‘Genuinely Inconsistent’ because, let’s face it, life doesn’t always go to plan. This blog is a way for me to process my thoughts, share honest moments, and focus on the things that bring joy. It’s as much about learning and growing as it is about connecting with others.
